Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) – Protect Your Hands & Arms! Did you know that frequent exposure to vibration from tools can cause Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)? Symptoms include: • Numbness, tingling, or pain • Weakness or loss of dexterity • Pale, waxy, or purplish fingers (Raynaud’s/vibration white finger) • Muscle fatigue & joint stiffness Why it matters: HAVS damages nerves, blood vessels, muscles, and joints—sometimes permanently. Control tips to reduce risk: • Use lower-vibration tools or alternative work methods • Improve ergonomics & posture • Limit exposure time; rotate tasks • Use gloves and supportive devices • Maintain and replace worn tools It’s important to review vibration levels of your tools and plan work to keep everyone safe. #CGIConstructors #HomeSafeEveryOneEveryDay
