Our team attended OGCA’s Leaders in Safety Day last week! The event brought together industry leaders and safety professionals to share insights and strategies for creating safer, healthier workplaces. We heard from an incredible lineup of speakers including Dr. Joel Moody (CPO), Stephen Dama (MLITSD), Enzo Garritano (IHSA), and Lindsey Kocher (WSIB) — covering topics such as: • Health and safety success stories & strategies • Combating complacency on site • Mental health and opioid awareness • WSIB’s new business safety portal and other online tools • CISWP services and industry resources The day concluded with the Safety Awards Presentation, celebrating companies recognized for their commitment to health and safety by achieving zero lost time incidents. Our team had the opportunity to attend IHSA’s Health and Safety Summit, presented by the Toronto Regional Labour-Management Health and Safety Committee. The day featured engaging and insightful presentations from Chris Roach of Danico Corp. and Ryan Conlin of Stringer LLP. Topics included building a culture of excellence and performance, the power of behavioural and intentional leadership, and the importance of due diligence in fostering safe and effective workplaces. We’re bringing these valuable lessons back to our team as we continue to strengthen our commitment to health, safety, and leadership excellence. #CGIConstructors #IHSA

November is Fall Prevention Month! Falls are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries but they’re also one of the most preventable. This month, we’re encouraging everyone to take an active approach to safety: - Inspect work area and equipment before starting a tasks - Maintain 3-point contact when using ladders - Keep walkways clear of debris and trip hazards - Speak up if you see a hazard!
